    Principal, Architecture and Lead Designer

    Calgary based, Alberta registered architect with international background, experienced in all phases of design for a variety of project types, and committed to sustainable and energy efficient architecture.

    A firm believer that by following the principles of the Passive House standard, more comfortable, resilient and healthier buildings and communities are possible.

  • Kurtis Alan Strickland, P.Eng., MBA, CPHD

    Principal, Engineering Design & Business Development

    With over two decades of experience in the Canadian energy industry, Kurtis is forging a path to shape the future of residential and commercial buildings in Canada using his extensive engineering, project management, and business background. With a technology diploma, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, an MBA, and professional certification in Passive House, Kurtis is exceptionally qualified to design high-performance, highly efficient buildings to meet Canada’s  green building strategy. Kurtis is also a board member with Passive Buildings Canada.

  • Kevin D Brown, MEDes(ID), CPHD, CPHT

    Principal, Sustainability and Construction

    With broad experience in Passive House design and construction, including project management, design of assemblies and both specification and installation of components for certified and uncertified buildings, Kevin is well placed to be thINK’s Construction and Sustainability Principal. Academic work in Industrial (Product) Design, architectural history, and heritage building restoration enrich his skills. Envisioning, designing and installing to the high levels of quality and craft that his work has always entailed, he is now focused on providing Passive Houses for as many people as he possibly can. Kevin is also an instructor with Passive House Canada.
